All the rules (of weight loss) were broken, and much fun was had:
We had our annual member’s party over the weekend.
And quite frankly, I’m still feeling the effects.
There was heavy drinking, over eating and questionable dancing (from myself of course).
In amongst all of those shenanigans, and what I want to talk briefly about today, is that we gave out two awards. One was for most improved member
and one for member of the year.
It was nice to celebrate their success and shine a light on their achievements.
The ladies, who I will write about in more details in the next few days, and even share the reasons for their success, are nothing short of inspirational.
In reality, although the two ladies we recognised were special, I could have given out many more awards, and next year we have decided that the
evening will have more of an awards night element to it.
After the awards were given out, and most were a little tipsy, a few members came onto me and declared: “I’m going to win an award next year”.
Which I thought was wonderful.
They’ve really thrown down the gauntlet.
So now you know, for all members (especially those who said they want an award) the challenge has been set.
The competition is on, and lines have been drawn.
You don¹t need me to tell you that best behaviour is needed to bag yourself an award (a big shinny glass trophy for the mantle piece).
To become a member, maybe change your life, and possibly be in with a chance of winning an award, when you’re ready, the journey starts here:
