A dogma exists in society today where most people think in order to lose weight they need to focus on, well, losing weight.
Which is a logical thing to do, hell I used to do it myself.
Until someone pointed out to me, what I m about to point out to you today.
Traditional slimming clubs, (and most shakes and bars programmes) also focus entirely on losing weight on the scales, regardless of other, far more important criteria, like for example your health.
I’ve met many a slimmer, who despite having lost lots of weight, has poor health, looks terrible, and the energy of a sloth on valium.
You know, the ones who give diets a bad name, they look so ill they make you worried about them, but they dont give a dam coz they’re a size freakin 10.
The plans that do this are usually restrictive of important food groups like fats, but encourage you to eat foods laden with sugar (low fat), this may help get better numbers on the scales, for now, but you will be slowly destroying your health and ability to lose weight in the future.
How exactly would one approach to slimming affect you differently from the other?
If you choose “weight loss at all costs”, you may:
-Get sick more often
-Have very little energy
-Have no libido or drive to get things done
-Find it more difficult to deal with stressful situations
Losing weight at the detriment of your health is a false economy.
I could get (even) more weight loss with all my lovely ladies, but it would be at the detriment of their health, and I’m just not willing to do that for the sake of a couple of extra pounds, and neither should you.
