A problem I’m seeing:
Slimmers trying to starve themselves thinner.
Zero carbs allowed.
They are just eating one main meal per day.
Some crazy fools even call it intermittent fasting, which its not because they never take a break from it. The problem with this approach, especially for women, is it messes up your HORMONES.
If you’ve listened to any of my podcasts or read any of my emails in the past, you’ll know messing up your hormones is not a smart move if you’re trying to lose weight.
Yes, you’ll see a little drop on the scales.
However, a big reduction in what you’re eating for too long, leads to DIET STRESS.
Because when you starve yourself, you’ll see a HUGE rise in stress and the hormone – CORTISOL. Consistently high cortisol levels can cause:
*Weaker immune system
*Carbohydrate and sugar cravings
*Reduced sex drive
You don’t want that lot.
Especially if you already have lots of stress in your life.
Or you are suffering from depression.
Today’s lesson: Hormones are very sensitive to big reductions in your food intake and starving yourself to lose weight (or so you can drink booze), is not a good idea.
To follow a plan which encourages you to eat properly, enjoy carbs, and STILL lose weight quickly and consistently, without getting stressed or depressed, becoming a member of one of our slimming clubs would be a good move.
