Special diabetes episode. Rich and Dr Daniels discuss diabetes and the best approach for weight loss. Dr Daniels shares some of his first hand experiences of reversing (putting people in remission) type II diabetes. (3:36)

They share how much carbohydrate is a good amount to eat if you are diabetic and want to lose weight. They discuss HbA1c readings and how to lower them. Rich shares what’s going on in the UK nationally with the NHS and diabetes UK. (7:48)

They discuss the huge controversy which currently surrounds the standard method of treatment for diabetes. Mark shares a new approach for pre diabetic children from America, which can stop the diabetes in its tracks. (11:24)

There are also a few questions sent in on the subject. I feel constantly tired and unwell and that’s all they do when I go to the doctors is up my medication what can I do to help myself? (13:30) and also what advice do you have for someone with type 1 diabetes who doesn’t exercise and wants to get in shape? (20:38)

  1. A big big thank you doc for your advice on migraine.
    My doctor has never mentioned cluster headaches to me and when I read up on the symptoms that is exactly how I feel. I do get them for 3 days though or 72 hrs but to know that the treatment is completely different was an eye opener.

    I will definitely be going back and talking to him about it.

    I will come back to you and let you know the result.
