I Ain’t Going Out Like That

I was in the Chinese takeaway collecting grub for me and Mrs C, for our 7th anniversary treat.

I know no expense spared.

We even had baby sitters and still decided we wanted to stay in.

It’s what we prefer to do sometimes when we are knackered out from work, life and the kids.

I picked up a newspaper to read while I was waiting and the main story was about the flu jab.

You may remember an article I wrote a little while back, subtly called “ F**k the flu jab”.

It’s here if you missed it.

But in a nutshell I said I didn’t think the flu jab was a good idea and why.

Plus when I swear you know I’m serious and passionate about a topic, like I was about this. (Also apparently people who swear are more honest.)

The article I read while picking up my special chow mein said that 33% more people died this year than in previous years.

29,000 people died in just 2 weeks.

During the “cold snap”. (from the 9th Jan-23rd Jan 2015)

It didn’t even make the main news channels (make of that what you like).

The trouble with the flu jab (apart from the fact the benefits of vaccination are a “theory”) is that the government have to buy the vaccinations from drug companies well before they know which strain of the disease is going to be making us ill.

Crazy I know.

But in fairness to the government that’s the only choice they have.

This makes the flu jab much less effective.

This years was particularly poor.

The flu is preventable.

People shouldn’t be dying from it in these numbers.

But they are.

It’s the weak that are most likely to die of it.

Mostly over 75’s. (that may be your parents and grandparents)

My advice now, is the same as it was when I wrote the article, make sure you look after yours and your families immune system and don’t rely on vaccinations to protect you.

Rely on yourself.

A strong and healthy immune system will beat most flus, and if it doesn’t it will lessen the extent of it, so it won’t kill you.

Imagine living all your life, surviving numerous “ups and downs” and finally being taken out by the bloody flu?

I would be gutted to be killed by something which was preventable just by being in decent basic health. (I probably wouldn’t be gutted because I would be dead but you catch my drift)

Ok so how do you boost your immune system?

It’s not complicated unless you want to make it complicated.

Just cut down the crap food and alcohol, get to bed earlier and take some bloody vitamins (I swear by vitamin C).

PS – Just for info, I have had a bit of a rush on with new people wanting to start to learn my super simple system to get fit and stay in shape.

I’m dealing with all enquiries that have come in up to Thursday 25th Feb for training and nutrition.

If you are one of these people OR have submitted an application after that, please be patient, I will be in touch in the next few days to have a chat and get things going.

If you are still thinking about joining, April will be the next time we will be starting any new people.
