A bit of Q & A action for you today:
QUESTION 1: I feel like I’m going up a dead end with my eating. I’m happy with my training but I feel I cannot get consistency with my eating and it’s really frustrating me. I have attached my food diary for you for the last 5 days.
Can you give me some guidance as to where I’m going wrong? I kind of know where I’m going wrong but I just need to be put on the right track. Nick
ANSWER: I get this a lot. People know where they are going wrong and want/need me to confirm it, tell them, and give them a little kick in the bootay.
So for you Nick, the best thing to do is go back to the basic plan for 5 days, to reset yourself and get some momentum going again.
QUESTION 2: I think I mentioned to you before that I only had 7-10 pounds to lose and therefore pinching through that plateau has been hard.
Finally reverted back to something that did work for me which is the Dukan diet and it’s worked. Which is great, but my dilemma is, I like this new way of eating with coconut oil and avocados etc . So after being on a NO FAT diet (Dukan) what happens when you introduce the GOOD fats back in?
Oh and seeds and nuts as for the menopause these seem to keep all symptoms at bay and I have them with everything, within limit and reason.
Your thoughts…….Bix
ANSWER: Hi Bix, Glad you have made an impact on the last 7lbs or so.
Sounds like you are doing well. If you have been on a no fat diet, re introduce fats slowly and sparingly to start, keep the carbs low when you do eat fats, including your intake of nuts and seeds.
Rich
QUESTION 3: I am interested in attending the slimming club you have in Llansamlet that has been advertised periodically on facebook.
Having dieted most of my life (56yrs old now!!) I am a little sceptical regarding some of the claims and wonder how you differ from the others out there that also profess and sometimes guarantee that you will lose weight?
Any info to enlighten me and motivate me to attend yet another dieting club would be gratefully received!!
Thanks, Karen
ANSWER: To be honest Karen, I don’t really try to motivate, enlighten or convince people to join the class I’m afraid, that’s not what I do.
I can only educate people with what I believe is right in relation to health and weight loss. I speak about what’s going on now in the real world, and from my experience of working with women.
It’s up to you if you want to learn my ways or not, but there is no risk, it’s a free firsts class or £5 off if you decide to join.
Take care, Richard
Karen’s Response:
I think that I am ‘sceptical’ about dieting clubs in general as they have never worked for me!
Recognising of course that this is a negative trait of my own and I was hoping that you had something miraculous up your sleeve!!!!
Will look forward to receiving the details and will probably see you soon
Best wishes,
Karen
And, as they say, that’s all for now.
