Proactive v Reactive (Which Type Are You?)‏‏

If you were lost and came across two forks in the road some people will go one way and some the other.

That’s just life.

I have seen a similar thing in my work over the last 18 years.

Some people go one way and some go another.

It’s quite fascinating and the RESULTS are completely different, depending on which category you fall into.

Let me explain…

On one hand you have people who are REACTIVE.

On the other hand you have people who are PROACTIVE.

MOST people are reactive.

Reactive people are like this…

-Reactive people are often looking for the quick fix .

-They can be unrealistic when setting their goals.

-They are opportunity seekers and jump from one thing to the next.

-They have low motivation.

-Very little willpower and self discipline.

-No staying power.

-They often do a half assed job and end up quitting when they see a small result.

Proactive people are a lot different.

Proactive people do this…

There are not many of these type people about.

-Proactive people think long term.

-They are commitment minded.

-They like to do a proper job.

-They have lots of staying power.

-And are mostly self motivated and driven.

-They are just looking for some direction and accountability.

Which type of person are you?

The good news is you can become more committed, and PROACTIVE.

It just takes some practice and guidance.

That’s all for today.

But tomorrow I will be talking about saving time. We all could do with that right.

Take care,

Richard
