This weight loss palaver can be frustrating.
There is so much information flying around it’s confusing.
So let me clear something up.
EVERYDAY I see people getting information from so many different sources, and, they all seem to say different things, some even contradict each other/themselves.
And as a result, a common problem I have noticed with my clients is they are quite confused about eating FAT.
Making a statement like “Fat doesn’t make you fat” etc, (which yours truly has done) is a little misleading (what can I say except sorry, I’m learning).
Fat is Good
Good fats
BAD fats
Bla bla bla (snoooze).
Lets get to the point, or should I say my point of view, based on 20 years in the game.
Yes fat is good AND bad.
But it’s quite simple to tell the difference.
The bad ones are the processed ones and the JUNK foods.
The good ones are the NATURAL ones (like I list below).
BUT
I see a problem with some women trying to lose weight, They eat TOO MUCH of the GOOD FATS.
Salmon
Smoked Salmon
Nuts
Avocado
Cream cheese
Cottage cheese
Feta cheese
Olive oil
Coconut milk
Almond milk
Butter
And so on…
These are all classed as “weight loss/healthy” foods, and can all help you lose weight AND CAN ALSO hinder your weight loss.
The KEY POINT to know about FATS is this:
WHEN you eat them, how MUCH you eat and how OFTEN dictates whether you LOSE, GAIN or stay the SAME weight.
It’s a balancing act, such is life.
Get this wrong and you will be as frustrated as a crack head without a lighter.
Get it right and you will thrive and be full of vitality.
To learn how I solved this problem for my clients, and how you too can learn, how much, how often, and which fats to eat, check out my book.
It includes a sample meal plan, recipes and CLEAR advice about eating fats.
