What with Mrs C being laid up with her Hernia operation I have started to watch a new TV show called Outsiders.
And it grabbed my attention right away because it’s pretty wild.
It’s all about a battle between the Farrell clan, a family of renegades, who live in the hills of Appalachia and their fight to maintain their way of life from the town’s people.
They live a different life to the rest of society.
A life in tune with the land.
Up in the hills.
No electric or TV.
Drinking “moonshine” and generally living it large.
They protect their way of life in any way they can.
They don’t comply with the masses.
They don’t follow laws or even use money.
The people in the town “fear” them, there are lots of rumours flying around about the Farrell’s alternative ways.
But, it seems to me, that they are doing no harm, and they are even onto something.
They have their own laws and ways of doing things.
Now I don’t recommend you move into the hills, sleep with your cousins and start “drinkin’ shine”.
But, if you ask me, an alternative way of life is sometimes better.
I mean who wants to be the same as many people in the WESTERN world:
-Eating junk food three times a day
-Needing coffee to provide energy just to get anything done
-Sedating ourselves with food, alcohol and medication
-Overworked and stressed out
-Underpaid and close to broke
-Out of shape and unhealthy, like really out of shape and SICK
-Unhappy, even though you “have more” than ever before
So my advice today is to TURN YOUR BACK on the masses and the way they live their lives.
Choose THE alternative way of life, which if you ask me, is a simpler, natural and a more rewarding way.
-Eating natural foods
-Drinking water
-Being active
-Having financial health and money left in the bank
-Having a HEALTHY body and healthy MIND
Hows that sound?
