Animal Instincts

Last night after work when I got in, my son, step daughter and wife were all playing with the new Hamster, Eli.

My son choose a name with the help of his Uncle Phil.

It’s a Syrian Hamster, so they found some Syrian names.

And they opted for Eli, which is short for Elijah.

His full title is Elijah Achmed Mohamed Clarke – no kidding.

When you get a Hamster you have to tame it and let it get used to being handled otherwise they can turn into nasty little buggers.

This got me thinking.

Taking something that is wild and has natural instincts and domesticating it is what has been done to us humans.

We are animals.

Some of us more than others.

We have instincts – uncontrollable at times.

Society tries to tame us and get us to conform to the norm, and it does a good bloody job.

But at the end of the day we are still animals and are driven by desire to satisfy our needs.

Some basic human needs include:
-Air, food and water, shelter
-Sex, sleep and going to the loo
-Security, health and family

See on the list ^^^HEALTH^^^ is a basic need to survive.

We SHOULD be instinctively driven to take care of these needs.

Some people’s instincts work well.

Like people who I describe as the UNTAMED.

Society hasn’t turned them to a zombie yet, they are free, their bodies work, or are not as screwed as the “masses”.

Let me explain.

I don’t mean they are wild or crazy.

I mean they are still full of life.

They are driven, have goals want to live life to the full (whatever that means).

I love these people. They are still in touch with their basic human needs.

They still have a strong DESIRE to be HEALTHY.

Unlike all the TAMED HAMSTERS out there who have had their basic desires knocked out of them.

They certainly don’t desire health well not very strongly anyways.

They are just running on their little wheels.

Doing what society tells/sells them.

Following the other sheeple (people).

-Drinking too much booze
-Eating too much junk
-Doing sod all activity
-Unable to say NO

Having their BASIC drive and desire for HEALTH – sucked out of them.

Fuck that for a game of soldiers eh.

It’s not what I want for my clients and it’s not for me or my family.

We do a little bit of exercise each week sometimes as little as 30 minutes, and try to eat well (between night outs and special events of course).

What about you?

Your on my email list to get healthier right?

So what are you doing about your health?

Have you lost the basic human desire to WANT to be healthy?

Have you given up without even noticing?

If so, I would be very concerned.

Get it sorted my friend.

– What foods can help fight a cold during the winter?
– Are there any exercises or stretches to help a man suffering badly with neck and shoulder pain due to a congenital fusion between C1-2 and a partial fusion between C2-3?
– What exercises can you do when you get a cold?
– A ladies results were discussed after going to her doctor, she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and wanted some advice.
And more of course.
