Mrs C is in her sick bed and has a virus and I’m in charge.
She is very hot and burning up and she has terrible nausea and sickness.
She can’t keep anything down and is struggling to take a tablet without it setting off the heaving and vomiting.
So I’m playing nurse.
Now, 36-37 degrees is a normal body temperature.
Over 38 is a fever.
At it’s worst my wife’s temperature was 38.4.
But fortunately it’s coming back to normal this morning.
And she managed to keep a cup of tea down.
Because I don’t know how much more I can take.
I’m sure I’m not the only one, but I don’t actually realise/appreciate everything that my wife does.
Until I had to do it myself this morning.
I will spare you the details, but it was chaos.
There is so much to do.
It was 8.20am when my wife pointed out that I had forgotten to give my son breakfast, they usually leave at 8.30am.
But he was loving it, watching cartoons while I was putting gel in his hair and spiking it up for him.
Alas, we were nearly late for school.
So fingers crossed she will be back up and running soon.
And we can resume our normal roles again.
That’s all I have for today, gotta go and do a bed bath for my wife ;-0
Until tomorrow my friend.
PS – If you want to have a solid immune system, be in good health, and not have illnesses last any longer than is absolutely necessary.
